‘Only when I look up at the sky does it preach that there is a world in which we do not need to be excited’ – commentary on the Bendowa, The Whole-hearted Way by Dogen.
It is a time of year in San Francisco when the sunrises and sunsets are more spectacular than they tend to be. Several times last week I could see a glowing quality of light during dinner, and regretted that my camera was half a block away. Living in the main building I had easy access to the roof and its 360 degree views of the city and the bay.
