Another week, another thought provoking New Yorker article. I have written about virtual reality before, perhaps unsurprisingly in the context of another New Yorker article, and I stand by my conclusion from that post. The thought I had this time, which I also got to convey in teaching meditation last week, is that virtual reality explores the ‘what if’ (and that is a key phrase in the history of human development), while meditation explores the ‘what is.’
