Reb Anderson

‘When pleasant experiences arise, we often try to grasp them. When we wholeheartedly welcome them we are able to let them in without grasping. It is the same with unpleasant experiences such as depression and anxiety and other things we don’t like. Clinging to, grasping, or hating the various experiences of our body is not the same as welcoming them. Welcoming means just letting the experiences be the way they appear to us. When we do this, we are applying the teachings of generosity.’ (Entering The Mind Of Buddha)
