Upcoming Attractions

With the turning of the seasons, I seem to be in the midst of bookings and teaching events; these are mostly visible on my home page, but I wanted to share them here as well in case you wanted to attend any of them, in person or online.

This coming Sunday morning, my usual bicycle ride will be replaced by an onlne talk to the Jissoji group in the midwest – I am assuming it is fine for anyone to tune in to the Zoom, which will be at 8:15 am PST. This talk will probably be a dress rehearsal for the Wednesday evening dharma talk at Zen Center, the first I will have given back in the Buddha Hall since the renovations.

As a part of that, I might be discussing the precepts, since one of my students will be taking jukai with Zachary on Saturday 19th at City Center.

In the first week of May I have a corporate session for a group of founders on the first, a half-day retreat at Green Gulch for another group of founders on the fourth, and a Wellness Wednesday program at Alchemy Springs on the seventh. I visited this new spa for the first time on Sunday evening – after the roam – to meet the owner and program team, as well as other teachers, and was really impressed with the space and vision on offer. I love teaching at Wilbur and Tassajara, and hopefully will be able to find the same spirit here.

After all of that, I will be turning my attention to the half-day online workshop for Zen Center on the Shodoka, coming up in June.
