This Weekend

Driving back to San Francisco after the weekend at Wilbur, I was glad to come over the hill north of Vallejo and see clear skies over the bay. The amount of traffic on the Bay Bridge ate up most of that joy, but it was lovely to be out and about over the next few days and to feel warm and dry rather than cold and damp. Tuesday night was especially clear, so I made plans to ride on Wednesday morning. This turned out to be a good idea, as it was the first sunny morning I have ridden in for a while, and the breeze had finally dropped. I even set up the deckchair in our back yard for the first time in a couple of months.

I have been squeezing short rides in whenever I can, after not getting to ride last weekend; I will also not have much of a chance to ride this coming weekend: on Saturday morning I will be at Zen Center to give the talk, which I have been mulling over since I was at Tassajara. As always, you are very welcome to join in-person or online.

On Sunday morning I will be offering a different kind of roam – a two-hour route followed by the chance to spend time in the sauna at Alchemy Springs. This is a great new space that I enjoyed leading meditation in a few weeks ago, and I hope to stay connected with this growing community. I would be delighted to see you there.

Wednesday morning ride.
