I don’t have a lecture source for this quote, as I was just going to post it on Instagram. I had already scheduled a different quote of his for this week, but then I looked a little closer at the date: today is the 54th anniversary of his death.

This picture was taken of the monthly memorial altar in the kaisando at Tassajara.
