Today I am publicly launching a GoFundMe.

As the blurb has it: In September I will be at Zen Center, performing rituals and ceremonies as I go through the Dharma Transmission process over several weeks. This is the culmination of Zen training, after which I will be a lineage holder in the Suzuki Roshi lineage, and an independent teacher who can ordain and pass the precepts on to others.

There are a number of expenses involved in this, from the cost of various pieces of ceremonial equipment, to donations to Zen Center and the sewing room. Because of the schedule of ceremonies, I won’t be able to do my usual work. So I am turning to the sangha and the wider community for help and support as I go through this process.
