Once I started to feel better last week, it was tempting to make up for lost time; I felt a surge of energy to get things done. But I also realised, when I went out on my bike on Wednesday morning, that I didn’t have much in the way of reserves, so I made sure not to overdo it, on the bike and off.
We had some sun, and a warm evening on Wednesday as well that encouraged us to go out for a longer walk; the next evening though, the cloud was too thick to get more than a tantalising glimpse of the lunar eclipse.

Both kinds of weather featured on the roams: Friday was mostly grey and a little chilly, while Saturday was warmer and sunny – as it had been earlier at the farmers’ market. I never pay much attention to the wider calendar, and thus we ended up South of Market in the middle of the huge Pokemon gathering, which some people found a little overwhelming. At one of the few open spaces I had intended to take a meditation break, there was another community party happening, which looked lovely, if not quite our thing. Instead, one of the participants invited us to the roof terrace of her building, which was less than a block off our intended route; people were too excited to sit, but it was a nice break.

On Monday I chatted with Zachary as we prepared the ground for ceremonies that start next week. I feel a little more reassured that I will manage the load – especially having given up most of my regular commitments for the rest of the month.
I will do my best to keep you all posted.
