‘I believe that one of the primary roles of a teacher or guide is to reflect our basic wisdom and joy back to us so we can see for ourselves that these beautiful qualities are a part of us. Seeing them for ourselves helps us to believe in them maybe for the first time in our lives.’ (Love and Rage)

This feels hugely important to me; I have experienced this from my teachers, and I hope that I am able to offer this to those who look on me as a teacher: just a simple reminder of the human qualities we all innately possess, but often feel are lacking or deficient within us.
