This poem was featured in a conversation about Tassajara that I attended yesterday after my dharma talk.

I think “Coyote” refers to Peter Coyote, who among other roles, is a zen teacher.
Diane’s poem reminded me of a line I wrote and recorded in 1987: “Buddha never left the palace.”
